Crash and error reports
Build and platform details, error messages, stack traces and a recent log tail. File paths in logs may include a computer user name. A crash report may wait until the next launch.
Private playtest · Collection policy 2
Deep Thought Solutions Ltd uses playtest data to investigate bugs, performance and progression in Planet Mk.2. The three collection choices start off.
Build and platform details, error messages, stack traces and a recent log tail. File paths in logs may include a computer user name. A crash report may wait until the next launch.
Session and milestone timing, lessons shown and completed, help used, interface actions, buildings, failed attempts, game notices, upload losses and frame rate.
Statistics plus saved world state, committed game actions and sampled camera and Keeper positions, so the developer can reconstruct play. Saved world labels and the installation ID are included. These are game data, not a screen recording.
The game does not collect screen video, microphone audio, raw keystrokes or hardware serial numbers. Saves remain on your computer; shared snapshots support analysis and are not a cloud-save service.
The pilot stores shared data on one DigitalOcean server in London. The developer's analyzer and recording downloads require operator sign-in. A random installation ID and a server-side keyed identifier join sessions, reports and feedback without requiring your real name.
Gameplay sessions expire 30 days after their last upload. Crash and error reports expire 30 days after receipt. Operational logs expire within seven days. Application access logs omit IP addresses, request bodies and query strings. No separate backups are enabled for this pilot.
Offline uploads wait locally and retry while the game is open. The local queue may discard older recordings and statistics when it reaches 200 MiB; crash reports are exempt. The game and analyzer show when available history is incomplete.
Switch a collection choice off in Settings → Privacy to stop it and delete queued data of that kind. Delete my data turns collection off, clears queued uploads and asks the server to erase the installation's gameplay data and linked feedback account. The request stays pending until the server confirms; then the game creates a fresh installation ID. Your local saves are kept.
The feedback board stores the display name and posts you choose to submit, plus build and session context supplied by the game. Posts are public and remain until deleted; its own account deletion removes board data. Use Settings → Privacy in the game to request deletion across both services. Moderation ban records may remain to prevent evasion.
For support, open Feedback in the game. You can include the voluntary session code shown in Settings → Privacy to help the developer find a particular run.
